Sorry for my recent silence. Home phone is down and been stranded in the hills for a couple of days. More to the point what's all this done to my newly planted rhubarb.
You’ll all be pleased to hear my rhubarb has peeped through the snow with only minor scorching of the leaves. Conditions at Briach (100 metres AOD) were a little less severe with only 10-15cm of snow compared to the 40cm at Dallas, which is little more than 2km away but 70 metres higher. On Good Friday, I cleared some snow off the plot for a bit of digging and the only hindrance was glare.
